Very good, I liked it.

Probably the best baseball movie I have ever seen. As a serious collegiate baseball player this movie is very easy to relate to. The personalities in this movie can be seen on any serious team. It has clueless cocky talents, crafty wise veterans, cleat chasing girls, foreign players, colorful coaches and eager young humble players. This movie nails it in so many ways. This movie has been quoted on every baseball team I have been on since high school.

Who dresses you? William blake? Two marks removed for the voluntary removal of the two best lines.

In the movie, before Crash got them the rain-out, they were getting dropped-off at Kingston Stadium and Crash was told to pay for the cab. He responded something like, "Let the Bomber's Baby pay for it," meaning Nuke. He was telling them to have Nuke pay for it, but I'm not sure if the actual term he used was, in fact, 'Bomber's Baby.' Would anyone else know the term he used to refer to Nuke in this scene? Just one of those things I could never get an answer to.

The chemistry and well written lines of Crash and Annie made the movie. Of course, Ron Shelton understands the game baseball (i believe he played AAA) and the "details" mentioned are spot on. But i have to say that Susan Sarandon and Kevin Costner clicked. I loved the scene in the batting cage where Annie gives Crash a clinic on hitting. "See the hips." You're moving your hips..yeah but they're nice hips." Great stuff. Amazing chemistry! One of the best flicks of all time, baseball or not...

I was very pleased to be the umpire in this movie. I learned a lot and enjoyed working with Kevin Costner and the others. It was great being able to see how a movie was made.

JC, Crash is calling Nuke a "bonus baby", meaning rookie player with a fat signing bonus on top of a fatter contract. Hence the Porsche with the quadraphonic Blaupunkt that he's already able to afford. One of my favorite movies of all time. Watch it yearly just before Opening Day.
